2021 Family Day Photos

On Aug. 29, 2021, GBCCA held the first annual Family Day after the shutdown due to COVID. It was also an open house for GBCCA to showcase the newly renovated building. A bit of history: GBCCA used to hold family nights featuring performances by our various clubs at an elementary school. This event was our first experiment using our own facility to showcase our club activities with indoor exhibitions and outdoor performances. Visitors were guided through a marked one-way path for the indoor exhibitions and then led to the outdoor performances. Mayor Fuller of the Town of Newton and president Chao-Qiang Lai of GBCCA each gave a speech at the outdoor venue. Greer Swinton was our MC for the great performances (see the photos!). The event was reported by local Chinese newspapers. We thank Tung-Mei Pan for coordinating, and EC team and family, and many volunteers for their help.

波士頓文協在2021年八月二十九日舉辦了新冠病毒大流行之後的第一次年度家庭日，同時也藉此機會展示剛剛翻新的大廳。大家可能還記得：以前文協每年在一所小學舉辦家庭之夜，由各社團表演節目。今年我們第一次嘗試用文協自己的場地，讓各社團在文協大廳內攤位展示，在大廳外表演節目。來參加的家庭老小在門口報到後，由專人帶領，沿單行路線先參觀室內的攤位展示，然後到戶外看表演。牛頓市市長Fuller女士和文協會長賴超強先生後在表演場地致辭，接著談繼欣女士主持了精彩的節目表演。
